Polymer Compounders Ltd (PCL) recently exhibited at EMCON, the manufacturing show in Newton Aycliffe. The event, held at the Xcel Centre, was a success for PCL. We enjoyed networking with other manufacturing businesses, including major players like Nikon.
This year’s setup had booths closer together, facilitating quick introductions. Our team, Richard Clay and Callum Doolan exchanged numerous business cards. We noted a significant local manufacturing presence, supplying big brands in the North East.
It was apparent to PCL on the day at EMCON that many manufacturing businesses now exist locally, specifically to supply some of the world’s biggest brands that have made their home in the Northeast, which is a fascinating prospect.

Nifco are a significant supplier for major car manufacturer Nissan who have their UK manufacturing plant in Sunderland. Being a Tier 1 supplier Nifco play a pivotal role in manufacturing and supplying various polymer based materials of a high specification, many of which PCL supply.
